Last night, in the wake of the “skinny repeal” bill’s narrow defeat, Mitch McConnell gave a speech, still apparently stunned by his near miss on what had looked like a sure thing at the start of the week.
“Yes, this is a disappointment. A disappointment indeed…. Our friends on the other side decided early on they didn’t want to engage with us in a serious way to help those suffering under Obamacare,” he said.
